HOW WE WORK
You'll always know what's happening. Always.
Most agencies treat their process like a trade secret. We treat ours like a promise. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the moment your product goes live.
THE PROCESS
Five steps. Zero surprises.
Every Dev Empire project follows this process — whether you're building an MVP, a web app, a mobile app, or an AI integration.
Free discovery call
Every project starts with a free 30-minute call. No pitch, no sales deck, no pressure. We want to understand what you're building, why you're building it, and whether we're the right fit for each other.
We ask about your business, your users, your competitors, your timeline, and your budget. We listen more than we talk. At the end of the call, we give you an honest assessment — including if we think you need a different approach or a different team.
If we're aligned, we move to scoping within 24 hours.
What you need to prepare
A rough idea of what you want to build, your target timeline, and a sense of your budget range. You don't need a full spec — that's what the scoping phase is for.
What happens next
We send you a follow-up email within 24 hours confirming the scope of work and next steps.
Scoping & proposal
After the discovery call, we turn the conversation into a written scope document. This is not a vague statement of work — it is a detailed specification: every feature, every user role, every integration, every screen, every edge case we've discussed.
The scope document also includes a fixed price and a fixed timeline. You know exactly what you're getting, what it costs, and when it will be done. No hourly billing, no open-ended engagements.
You review the scope, ask questions, request changes. Nothing moves forward until you formally approve it.
What you receive
A detailed scope document, fixed price quote, project timeline with milestones, and a contract.
What happens next
You sign the contract and pay the first milestone. We begin immediately.
Design & architecture
Before a single line of code is written, we design your product in Figma. Every screen, every state, every interaction. Desktop and mobile. You see exactly what your users will experience before we build it.
At the same time, we plan the technical architecture — database schema, API structure, third-party integrations, deployment setup. This planning prevents expensive mistakes later.
Two rounds of design revisions are included as standard. Design approval is a hard gate — we do not start development until you have signed off on the designs.
What you receive
Complete Figma design file with all screens, states, and component library. Technical architecture document.
What happens next
You approve the designs. Development begins the following Monday.
Development & weekly updates
We build your product in focused two-week sprints. From the end of week two, you have access to a live staging environment — a real, running version of your product that you can test as it's being built.
Every Friday, you receive a written project update: what was completed this week, what is planned for next week, any blockers or decisions needed from you, and an updated progress indicator against the total scope.
You have direct access to your developer via Slack or WhatsApp throughout the build. Not a project manager. Not an account manager. The person writing your code.
If anything changes — timeline, scope, priorities — we tell you immediately. We never hide problems.
What you receive
Weekly written updates every Friday. Staging URL from week 2. Direct developer access.
What happens next
Continuous development until all features in the scope are complete and tested.
Testing, launch & handover
Before launch, every feature in the agreed scope is tested thoroughly — cross-browser, cross-device, edge cases, error states, performance. We write the bug report before you do.
Launch day is planned and coordinated. We deploy to your infrastructure, configure your domain, set up monitoring and error tracking, and verify everything is running correctly.
Handover is comprehensive. You receive the complete repository with clean documentation, all credentials and access keys, deployment instructions, and a walkthrough call to make sure you can run and maintain your product independently. You should never need to call us to figure out how your own product works.
Thirty days of post-launch support is included at no extra cost — bug fixes, minor adjustments, questions answered.
What you receive
Deployed, live product. Full code repository. All credentials. Documentation. 30-day post-launch support.
What happens next
Your product is live. We check in at day 7, day 14, and day 30.

COMMUNICATION
No radio silence. Ever.
The number one complaint about software agencies is that they go quiet. We've designed our entire communication structure around preventing exactly that.
Weekly written update — every Friday
Every Friday, without exception, you receive a written project update via email. It covers: what was built this week, what's planned for next week, any blockers or open questions, and your progress percentage against the agreed scope. If we're on track, you'll know. If something has changed, you'll know before the weekend.
Direct access to your developer
You communicate directly with the developer building your product — not through an account manager or project manager. We use Slack or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. Messages are responded to within a few hours during working hours. You are never more than one message away from the person who can actually answer your question.
Watch your product being built
From the end of week two, you have a URL where you can see your product running live. Not screenshots, not videos — a real, working version of your product that is updated as we build. You can test features, spot issues early, and share it with your team or investors.
Response within 4 hours
During working hours (9am–7pm PKT, Monday to Friday), all messages are responded to within 4 hours. For urgent issues after launch, we respond within 24 hours. You will never send a message and hear nothing back for days.
We tell you first
If a problem arises — a technical blocker, a timeline risk, an integration that's more complex than scoped — we tell you immediately, not when it's too late to act. We bring the problem and a proposed solution together. You are never blindsided.
OUR GUARANTEES
Three things we put in writing
These are not marketing claims. They are contractual commitments that every Dev Empire client receives.
What we quote is what you pay.
When we agree a scope and send you a price, that price does not change unless you change the scope. There are no hidden fees, no 'out of scope' surprises sprung on you mid-project, no additional charges for things we should have anticipated during scoping. If we missed something in our estimation, that is our problem — not yours. We absorb it.
We deliver when we say we will.
Every project has an agreed delivery date in the contract. We plan our work to meet it. We have never missed a delivery date on a project where the scope was agreed upfront. If a scope change is required — requested by you and approved by both parties — we agree a new date together before we proceed. You will never be surprised by a missed deadline.
Every line of code belongs to you from day one.
From the first commit, every line of code we write is yours. You own the repository, the architecture, the documentation. There is no licensing fee, no lock-in, no dependency on Dev Empire to keep your product running. You can take the code to any developer, any agency, or any in-house team at any time. We hand over everything — including the keys to every system we've set up for you.
OUR TOOLS
A professional setup for every project
These are the collaboration and project management tools we use on every engagement.
All UI/UX design is done in Figma. You receive editor access to the Figma file — you can view, comment, and share designs with your team at any stage. Design files are yours at the end of the project.
All code lives in a GitHub repository from day one. You have access to the repository throughout the project — you can see every commit, every change, every update. The repository is transferred to your account at handover.
Your staging environment runs on Vercel. Every code push automatically updates the staging URL so you always have the latest version. Production deployment is to Vercel, AWS, or your preferred infrastructure.
We communicate via whichever platform you prefer. A dedicated Slack channel or a WhatsApp group — your choice. All project communication is documented in one place.
We track tasks, milestones, and progress in Linear (for technical teams) or Notion (for non-technical clients). You have full visibility into what's in progress, what's done, and what's coming next.
For complex features or important milestones, we send short Loom screen recordings showing what we've built and how it works. Faster than a written description, more personal than a document.
